Abstract: latin america does not constitute a given object, as supposed by empirist-positivism. yet, it is neither pure disarticulation, as concluded by posmodern approach. latin america is constituted as a theoretical problem as questions arise around its way of being in a world ruled by the logics of capital, that in its unfolding becomes capitalism. it is in the vortex of that social tornado that the region becomes intelligible. the aim of this article is to show a possible path in that direction, one that contemplates the regional whole and that allows, at the same time, to assume the differences and diversities that preveil in its interior.

Abstract: in this essay we establish the particularities of biopower within the context in which capital, its dynamic and display rein the sense and the organization of the world. from this horizon we take the ideas of michel foucault and georgio agamben, authors who discuss and outline such topics in their work. we sustain, against agamben, that the current social order is the salaried worker, the modern homo sacer and that only by reveling such position we could comprehend the variety of shapes in which the capital puts life in interdiction, such as refugees, migrants, etc. this reflection offers arguments that justify the consideration of biocapital, a category that assumes and surpass, in hegelian terms, that of biopower.

Abstract: in latin america the actuality of the revolution constitutes a tendency that runs trough its structure, been the redoubled exploitation the process that internalizes the contradictions of the system worsening the local conflicts of the reproduction of the capital. from this point of view, we analyze the most recent economic and politic transformations in the region with the purpose of presenting an explicative frame to the emergence of important popular movements and governments that once again challenge the domination.

Abstract: América Latina no constituye un objeto dado, como supone el positivismo-empirista. Tampoco es pura desarticulación, como concluye el planteamiento posmoderno. Por el contrario, aquella es resultado de una construcción en donde se imbrican elementos lógicos, teóricos e históricos que nos permiten configurarla y convertirla en un problema teórico. La tarea en este artículo será mostrar un camino posible en tal dirección, que contemple el todo regional y permita, al mismo tiempo, asumir las diferencias y diversidades prevalecientes en su interior.

Abstract: Dos importantes procesos cruzan en las últimas cuatro décadas la vida de América Latina. Uno es económico: la puesta en marcha del patrón exportador de especialización productiva bajo políticas económicas neoliberales. El otro es político: la conformación de un nuevo tipo de Estado que tiene como aspecto visible los cambios propiciados por la llamada transición a la democracia y la consolidación democrática. Ambos constituyen los ejes en torno a los cuales se reflexiona en este ensayo a fin de explicar la situación imperante en América Latina en nuestros días. Las fracturas sociales y las recomposiciones propiciadas por ambos procesos; su grado de madurez y consolidación o, por el contrario, las dificultades para su enraizamiento y cimentación; las resistencias a los mismos e incluso sus derrotas, constituyen aspectos para dar cuenta de los principales derroteros que se presentan en el escenario regional.

Abstract: This article discusses the theoretical and methodological assumptions from which neostructural discourse is built, taking as guide the main works of Fernando Fajnzylber and Ugo Pipitone, as well as some ideas from the CEPAL up to the 1990s. Once analyzed the diagnostics of Latinamerican underdevelopement carried out by this trend, its solutions are questioned. Abstract: En América Latina la actualidad de la revolución constituye una tendencia que la atraviesa de manera estructural, siendo la explotación redoblada el proceso que internaliza las contradicciones del sistema y que agudiza los conflictos locales de la reproducción del capital. Desde este punto de vista se analizan las más recientes transformaciones económicas y políticas acontecidas en la región, en aras de ofrecer un marco explicativo a la emergencia de importantes movimientos populares y gobiernos que vuelven a poner en entredicho la dominación.
